The team

Sociologists, lawyers, educators and mental health practitioners — empowering single teen parents through education, aid and health services.

Dr. George Amakor, PhD

Executive Director & Founder. A PhD in Sociology and a university lecturer, George founded GAP International on a simple observation: the systems meant to catch young parents were letting them fall.

Janice Amakor

Learning & Development Officer. Holds an MSc in Organisational Leadership and Management, and designs the training that turns ambition into capability.

Ngozika Ogbonna

Outreach Coordinator, West Africa / Nigeria. BSc in Sociology and Anthropology, MSc in Public Health — and the engine of our Abuja outreach calendar.

Dr. Grace Atsegwasi, PhD

Secretary & Communications Officer. LLB, LLM, BL and a PhD in Law; lectures in Law as well as Health & Social Care, and keeps our voice precise and our promises accountable.

Ernest Nonso Ezeokeke

Mental Health Practitioner. BSc in Sociology. Because hope is not only material — a young parent's mind needs somewhere safe to stand, too.

Could this be you?

We are always looking for hands and hearts. If our mission sounds like yours, we would love to hear from you.
