World Menstrual Hygiene Day & Young Women’s Health Awareness Seminar
The World Menstrual Hygiene Day & Young Women’s Health Awareness Seminar. This was held on 28th May 2022 at St Jude’s Girls Secondary School Yenagoa Bayelsa State, Nigeria.
The theme for this year’s event was making menstruation a normal fact of life by 2030. In line with this, GAP International educated young women at St Jude’s Girls Secondary School in Yenagoa Bayelsa State, Nigeria. We enlightened them on the anatomy of the female body, when to expect menstruation and the best way to wear and dispose of sanitary pads.
GAP International also gave out free packs of sanitary pads to all the participants. Over 150 young women took part in the seminar. We thank the management of the school for the opportunity.
